My Husband's Family and Troy's Dedication

We have had Thomas' family in this weekend for Troy's dedication. This week is finals week for me and I was expecting to be EXTREMELY overwhelmed.

1) Troy's dedication was awesome. We had him dedicated in the first service and Pastor Toler showed him off to the whole church. In the second service (the one we go to) they did a prayer blessing as a follow up. OH MY WORD can I just tell you this was the most amazing thing ever. All of the family and close friends in the service came up and put a hand on him and said a short prayer. It was absolutely beautiful and I could not have asked for a more encouraging dedication.

2) Finals week is almost over and I can't wait! Only two tests left tomorrow. YAY!

3) Thomas' family can be overwhelming when they are all here. Let me tell you I was a little overwhelmed with 8 people and 2 babies in our little house. I think anyone can understand that. But I have to say I have the best in-laws ever. We all get along and there is no tension or anything hard to deal with. We went to the botanical gardens and took pictures and they are so good and we had a good time.
Now Trey (Thomas' brother) and his wife Candice and daughter Sophia are staying with us for the week til they go to Kansas for Trey's graduation. I am thoroughly enjoying their company. I love that we stayed up last night talking til midnight. I mean how many people can say that they get along with their in-laws so well that they stay up til midnight talking to them. NOT MANY!

I am so blessed! I am going to raise Troy in the ways of the Lord! I love my family!!!

A couple weeks ago...

So a couple weeks we went to a friends house for lunch. They have a two year named Cole and he is super precious! So he was playing with Troy and they would crawl around, then sit up and flap their arms. Eventually this turns to Troy hitting Cole... So Cole starts crawling AWAY from Troy instead of with him. Pretty soon Cole is cornered while Troy is having a grand time "playing"/ hitting Cole. Cole is whining/crying "Don't get me Twoy, don't get me!"

It was so funny! BUT I have a bully for son... we will have to work on that!

Sunday

Today has been a great, lazy day. God is good and has blessed me with a wonderful family... All day long the three of us have sat around playing and watching movies. I am pretty sure I told Thomas over 50 times that Troy is the cutest! lol I just can't get over it!
We were getting on to him for trying to play with a ceramic bear that is our bookshelf. Thomas was sitting across the room saying "TROY" every time he would put his hand up to touch it. Thomas had yet to actually say the word "no" but Troy knew exactly what he meant. He would reach up and wait for Thomas to say his name then he would drop his hand and shake his head no... It was HILARIOUS. He is the cutest!
That was our lazy Sunday and smart boy!

OH no!

Well Troy is no longer sick, thank the Lord! The only down side is that he is so off schedule now. Also I'm thinking that he may quit eating baby food, yesterday he refused to eat anything but Ramen Noodles. I'm not sure how I feel about this... I mean cool I won't have to buy any more baby food, but I have a pantry full of it! It also means that he is growing up way fast!! TEARS!! So I'm hoping my doctor is ok with this, and that he will be able to eat big people food with out choking.. I'm so nervous, I don't think I'm ready for this!

Sick Boy

So today Thomas and I woke up to Troy with a diaper/pajamas/bed full of poop!

Let me just tell you Troy has always been a regular little guy and the past 3 or 4 days he has not pooped but once a day and not been wanting to eat or drink his milk! At first I thought well kids go through phases of how much food they eat, but I was still worried. He was eating 14 ounces of milk and 6 jars of baby food a day for the past month and the past few days basically nothing.

Ok so after the huge poop, he was extremely hungry, ate his 4 ounces of milk and was crying for more. Sara got his oatmeal ready and fed him. I went to class. When I came back Troy was asleep like usual, but Sara tells me that he went back to bed at 8:30 (usually 9:30 or 10). And he had also thrown up a little bit of his breakfast. So I am assuming that he is going to be hungry when he wakes up. So he wakes at 10:30 and I get his bottle ready. I had given Troy to Sara while I did that. So I go to pick him up and he projects a huge amount of vomit all over the floor and himself, and me. SO NOT NORMAL!!!
After all that is cleaned up, I call the doctor and wait for the return phone call. While waiting I get on my physians website and figure out what I should be doing til the phone call comes in. Sara and I proceed to give him pedialyte and try to get him to drink his bottle. He take a few drinks then just play with the bottle.

So the doctor calls back and asks if Troy is getting over a cold, been running a fever, or been overly cranky. Well no he hasn't (yesterday he had a wonderful day outside!), I mean he had been a little cranky, but for Troy a little cranky is anyone else's AMAZING day lol. She says "Then I have no idea what could be causing this, you need to come in." I'm thinking oh great what in the world is wrong! So I am going in at 2:20 today! Please Pray that everything is ok!

The doctor said Troy will be fine in a couple days, he has a stomach virus :(

Troy Today

So today Troy and I went for a walk. He loves to go for walks, but the weather has been way too chilly. It was still a little on the cool side today, but definitely worth going. I put him in his stroller (we usually use his wagon) and started down the block. He squealed and kicked his feet the entire mile long walk we took! Every person that passed us on the road smiled. It is an amazing thing to see how many people one baby can make smile! And to think that I was so scared to take on a surprise like him, and now I wouldn't have it any other way! He is the most special of all blessings I have had, and I have been blessed beyond belief! The joy he brings to all who just see him amazes me everyday. Thank you Lord for such a wonderful blessing!

BLESSED!

1)My husband, Thomas, loves his job. How many people can say that? He loves it! As a matter of fact today he sent me a text that said, and I quote, "I love my job. Even bad days are better than the best days at any other job I've had." That is amazing.

2) E brought me lunch today (my best friend, E, or Erica)

3) Sara, my sister, came over to watch Troy this morning at 8 AM even though she had gone to bed at 3 AM.

4)I don't have any homework today!

5) I got to hang out with good friends last night and will again tomorrow.

6) My son is healthy and always happy.

8) Our flower garden is close to being finished.

I just realize more and more each day how truly blessed I am. It's the little things in life, I have a wonderful husband, a beautiful son, and great friends and family. PTL!
